Hitachi Develops AI to Assist in Diagnosing 16 Blood Disorders Including Leukemia
Hitachi, in collaboration with Kyushu University Hospital, has developed a new AI technology designed to assist doctors in diagnosing 16 types of blood disorders, including leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. The AI analyzes data from flow cytometry (FCM), a laboratory technique used to examine blood cells, and provides physicians with likely diagnostic candidates based on the characteristics of individual cells.
